Objectively the numbers from my Gallup survey (where results are benchmarked across many of the Fortune 500 companies), demonstrated the highest level of recognition within Maersk Line’s Africa presence. This result is very satisfying and a critical success factor when managing 33 colleagues remotely across sub-Saharan Africa.

The kudos tool is the key enabler here and the team enjoy the ease of using it, and the subsequent ‘pat on the back’ & reward scheme we have derived from the output. We also use the tool as an idea generation / idea sharing channel, to enable our continuous improvement drive – which is paramount to our growth strategy and innovation initiatives.
